All kinds of places call themselves self-publishing companies. We aren’t saying they’re wrong, but we are saying that they offer a vastly different array of services, so it’s important to know what you’re getting into.
A segment of the self-publishing industry is known as the vanity press. This means that in exchange for a fee, these self-publishers publish your book. They don’t read it, because they don’t offer opinions, feedback or even check for mistakes. They print what you give them, just like your inkjet.
Then you load the boxes of book into the trunk of your car, and you’re on your own.
That’s not how it works at Izzard Ink.
What Makes Us the Best Self-Publishing Company
First, we have teams of some of the top-trained experts in the publishing business to help you get your book ready for publication. Editors can help you develop your ideas and then refine the copy, and artists will create the design for your book cover.
These services are critical to getting a professional result. However, we do not require you to use our editorial and graphic arts services, we simply make them available to you.
Also available to you are our marketing and distribution services. You may not think about how many important steps there are to becoming a successful author until you’re smack in the middle of the process. Your idea for your book is paramount, but you’ll lose credibility without good editing services. No one will notice your book if you don’t have eye-catching cover art.
And if you have a good idea, good editing and good art, you still can’t get anywhere without a hard-working marketing team. After all, if no one knows about your book, they can’t buy it.
Self-Publishing a Book
At Izzard Ink, we prioritize success over money. In a way, they are the same, but not always. We work closely with our authors, and we only choose the ones we think will produce a good result. We don’t take money from aspiring authors who are not yet ready to publish.
Because of our self-publishing philosophy, we enjoy having more successful titles in print than other self-publishing companies. We work hard to ensure all our authors have a fair shot at becoming the next John Grisham or J.K. Rowling.
