How Izzard Ink Helped This Book

We partnered with a cookbook specialist who has James Beard Award–winning credits to refine and test the recipes, direct the food styling and photography, and then turn the project into polished print and eBook editions with worldwide distribution—so the book reads and looks like a top-tier cookbook wherever readers discover it.

Mediterranean food you love, intermittent fasting you can finally live with.

You eat pretty well. You move your body. And yet, as the years go by, the scale keeps creeping up and your energy keeps sliding down.

In Intermittent Fasting and the Mediterranean Diet: Simple Fasting for a Healthy Lifestyle, personal recipe coach Veronica Miles shares the simple rhythm that finally worked when age, a slowing metabolism, and stubborn weight gain made her old “healthy” routine stop working. After teaming up with a trusted research and clinician group, she became her own test case—pairing a flexible 16:8 intermittent fast with the flavor-packed, largely plant-based Mediterranean way of eating. The result was a pattern she could live with: lighter, more energized, and satisfied instead of hungry and deprived.

Part science-backed guide, part kitchen playbook, this full-color book explains what intermittent fasting is (and isn’t), who it’s for, common side effects, and how to ease in safely at your own pace. Then it shows you exactly how to do it day to day: two “week in the life” meal plans (one for bulk cooks, one for daily cooks) and more than 100 Mediterranean-inspired recipes—each with nutrition information and clear allergen icons. Think Greek yogurt power bowls, Lebanese omelets, vibrant salads, sheet-pan chicken and fish, hearty grain bowls, and make-ahead snacks that keep you on track even on busy days.

Warm, encouraging, and grounded in current research, Intermittent Fasting and the Mediterranean Diet doesn’t offer a quick fix. It offers a realistic, sustainable way of eating that can help you manage weight, support heart and metabolic health, and actually enjoy your food again.
