Izzard Ink Publishing has received bulk orders for limited edition books from a company that uses Bassam and the Seven Secret Scrolls to promote their own business.
They ordered hundreds and hundreds of books. Then this company began to think how they could take Bassam and the Seven Secret Scrolls and make it into a limited edition book. This book would be available only to their clients with a unique message tailored for them.
The company approached the author for permission to place an order for 1,000 limited edition copies.
They worked with author Paul B. Skousen to create a foreword for the book that would only be used by the company. They also paid to have a few more illustrations added to the book that no other edition would have. They worked with the art director at Izzard Ink to make changes to the back cover to add their custom message.
When the limited edition of Bassam and the Seven Secret Scrolls was given out at their company conference with the custom foreword, illustrations and back cover comments the clients loved it. The fact the company cared enough to create a limited edition book just for them worked to endear their members to the company.
As an author, creating a limited edition book for a specific retailer or group is just another way that you can stand out from the crowd.

Costco looks to stock books that their members will not find anywhere else. According to the December 2014 issue of Costco Connection, Costco asked a publisher to have a few extra recipes added to a cookbook as well as using a cover exclusive to them.
